Our dogs are FIRST and foremost our pets ... we would love them the same whether
they turn out to be outstanding show or obedience dogs or just lay at our feet
enjoying life together with us. Because they are our pets and family members
we do not have a lot of them living with us. We currently keep 4 girls
in our home and have a number of co-ownerships on a few males from different
litters. We want them to have an enjoyable family life besides being taken out
to be shown off. |
We only plan breedings occasionally and selectively striving to continue to learn
and improve on each breeding. We are also trying our best to eliminate as
many possible health problems encountered in this breed by only breeding those
dogs who have been screened and cleared of problems with hips, elbows, eyes and
hearts through the OFA/OVC and CERF. |
Thankyou for visiting us and getting a brief insight into who we are and what we
are doing ... please feel free to contact us regarding our dogs - future breeding
plans or whatever. |

Webmaster Ruth Hartmann 2009 |
We are Ruth and Ludwig Hartmann. We have been blessed with three wonderful
sons, Jeremy, Nicolas and Peter. Ruth primarily works with the
dogs in the show and obedience rings but we have all enjoyed them immensely
in our various activities of family life. Ludwig owns his own Stone Masonry business with a workshop on our property ... many times there are a couple of our dogs keeping him company as he works away on stone sculpturing, in the office or travelling with him on errands. He also has started doing agility with Cookie and Senza as well as taking all the pack on many long hikes thru the wooded trails nearby. |
ABOUT US ... |

My interest in the breed started as we began to look for a canine companion to add
to our family in the beginning of the 90's... I didn't even know what a rottweiler
was then! My husband was the one that piqued my interest as he had
grown up around them in the small town he grew up in in Germany - they were working
dogs - mostly herding or driving cattle for farmers. We embraced our
first rottie puppy in '94 and the rest is history ... as they say! I've been fortunate to have started off this journey with some terrific mentors who have helped guide me along the way from understanding what correct Rottweiler drive and temperament should be as well as effective methods of training as well as honestly evaluating their conformation and structure so as only to include the most structually sound dogs in my breeding program. They have held me to a higher standard and challenged me to do my best, not just saying I strive to improve in my understanding and implementation of breeding quality dogs but to actually do it. I continue to look to and glean from the knowledge and experience of those who will teach me. Breeding and working with Rotties or any dogs is always a work in progress. Mmy desire is to continue to learn from mistakes and setbacks as well as show and breed quality dogs I can be proud of along with having fun along the way! |
